New Year in Looe

By alanvaughan

Once again Looe is prepairing for the New Year Celebrations with Fireworks at Midnight from Banjo pier.

The business and visitors are all contributing, once again, to the Firework Fund which we hope will enable us to have an even bigger and better display this year.

The collecting boxes in shops and restaurants are doing very well as are the raffle tickets, the prize is you get to set the fireworks off.

The shops are already stocking up with fancy dress outfits ready for the celebrations, I haven’t decided what I will go as this year – any ideas?

The restaurants are publishing their menus for New Years Eve and New Years Day, the Hotels and Bed & Breakfasts are filling up for what will be another fantastic holiday!

If you want to be part of one of the UK’s Top Three New Years Eve events (as published by the Times) you will need to make your reservations quickly.

Guests staying at St Johns Court will have the option of joining all the other revellers on the front or watching the firework display from their own rooms or the guest lounge if the weather is wet or cold or if they just want some comfort.  I will once again be on the front whatever the weather.  Followed by a special New Years Day Brunch – menu to follow shortly

See you on the 31st December 2009.
